This Privacy Policy is applicable to Range Arts ("Company") and sets out our policy on the gathering and use of information on this site and our other sites (collectively "Sites"). This Privacy Policy applies to Range Arts' firearm safety training and licensing services in compliance with the Firearms Safety Education Service of Ontario (FSESO). It outlines how personal information is collected, used, and disclosed to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Personal Information is information about you that identifies you as an individual, for example, your name, address, e-mail address, or telephone number.

We collect information that you voluntarily provide to us through responses to surveys, search functions, questionnaires, feedback, forms and the like. We may also ask you to provide additional information such as your e-mail address if you want to obtain additional services, information, participate in a contest or to resolve complaints or concerns.

For firearm safety training and licensing, we may collect additional information, including:

  • Proof of age and/or government-issued identifications.

  • Licensing details, such as Possession and Acquisition License (PAL) or Restricted PAL (RPAL).

  • Training certifications or compliance records.


HOW DOES COMPANY USE INFORMATION GATHERED ABOUT ONLINE VISITORS?

Before forwarding us any personal information, please be advised that any information gathered on our Sites may be used in the aggregate for research and development relating to our Sites and/or for future site development and, if you ask us to, to send you promotional materials. COOKIES
The Company, in common with many web site operators, may use standard technology called "cookies" on its Sites. RECORDING OF CLASSES:

For quality assurance, safety, and training purposes, all classes conducted by the organization are recorded. By enrolling in and attending a class, participants acknowledge and consent to being recorded. The recordings are used solely for internal purposes, such as improving the quality of the training, addressing any incidents or concerns, and maintaining safety standards. Recordings are securely stored and are not shared with third parties, except as required by law or with the participant’s explicit consent.

We have put in place physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and help prevent unauthorized access, maintain data security, and correctly use the information we collect online. The Company applies security safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, such as retaining information in secure facilities and making personal information accessible only to authorized employees on a need-to-know basis.

Storage of Information:
Personal information you share with us may be stored on databases hosted by third parties, such as Squarespace, Acuity Scheduling, , Stripe, Moneris, Helcim, Klaviyo, and Google, for example, and we recommend you also review their Privacy Policies. Personal data related to firearm licensing may be hosted on secure third-party platforms. We ensure all third-party providers comply with Canadian privacy laws and FSESO standards for data protection.

Retention of Firearm-Related Data:

Sensitive personal information related to firearm licensing, including but not limited to training certifications, proof of eligibility, and any other documentation required by the Firearms Safety Education Service of Ontario (FSESO) or other regulatory authorities, will be retained in accordance with applicable laws and regulatory requirements. The retention period will depend on the duration specified by these authorities or as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which the data was collected.
