Jamesan draws on a wide personal experience of shooting, hunting, and outdoors skills to provide innovative perspectives on training and a personable and informative environment for the courses he instructs.

Jamesan is influenced by lecturing and researching in academic settings, working in the firearms industry, and his personal love for martial arts (from which Range Arts derives its name). He draws on these experiences to make his courses engaging and fun.

He is FSESO Instructor #ON1291, meaning he is certified by the Firearms Safety Education Service and the Chief Firearms Office (CFO) to deliver and examine the Canadian Firearm Safety Course (CFSC) and the Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course (CRFSC).
