Start where you are.

Live Fire Training Courses

Handgun · Carbine · Shotgun

The Down Range Shooting Program is live-fire instruction for people who want to actually learn — not just pull a trigger. Every course follows the same principle: build the right habits first, then build speed.

Courses run at Down Range Sports, Mississauga's premiere shooting range, and are open to non-members.

Small classes. Experienced instructors. Three disciplines. Structured levels. A clear path from your first live round to confident, capable shooting.

Levels of the Structured Curriculum

Lvl 01 — Building the Foundation

2 hrs range time · $175 · No prerequisites

Safe handling, equipment literacy, and the fundamentals of accuracy — all in a single session. You'll move from dry practice to live fire and finish with the Bill Drill as your first speed-accuracy benchmark.

Lvl 02 — Run the Gun

2 hrs range time · $175 · Prerequisite: Lvl 01 or equivalent

Malfunctions happen. Magazines run dry. Level 02 builds your response to both — clearance procedures and reload mechanics trained as automatic reactions before any draw work.

Lvl 03 — Draw & Deploy

2 hrs range time · $175 · Prerequisite: Lvl 02 or equivalent

Lvl 01 and Lvl 02 come together under light pressure. Handgun students earn their holster draw certification. Carbine and shotgun students work from the sling and build snap shooting fundamentals.

HHE — Handgun Holster Checkout

20 minutes · no cost for Down Range Members

Prior holster training may qualify you for a checkout in place of the full Level 03 course.
