Level 03 — Draw & Deploy
Holster Draw / Sling Deployment

Available for Handgun, Carbine, and Shotgun — choose your platform when booking

Draw & Deploy is the course where the Range Arts program changes. Levels 1 and 2 built the shot and the response to failure. Level 3 introduces deployment — and with it, the first moment in the program where a firearm begins a session stored and is brought into action on demand.

For handgun shooters, that means the holster. For carbine and shotgun, it means the sling. The mechanics differ by platform, but the principle is the same: every safety habit built in Levels 1 and 2 must now operate simultaneously from the moment the firearm leaves its stored position to the moment it returns there.

Both the draw and the reholster — or the presentation and the sling-up — are given equal weight. Getting the firearm out safely is half the course. Putting it away correctly is the other half, and it is always slow.

Completion of this course issues Range Arts Holster Draw Certification (Handgun) or Sling Deployment Certification (Carbine / Shotgun), authorizing deployment from a stored position at Down Range Sports during standard range sessions.
