We're Still Closed - Plans For Re-Opening

Lockdowns on the horizon

To add to the upset from our December Toronto lockdown, we’ve all just learned most of Ontario will be in a State of Emergency until Feb 11. Unfortunately this means we can’t offer courses, because Canadian Firearms Safety Courses by their nature and by regulation must be in-person.

All we can do is wait until we’re allowed to re-open. Hopefully this is in concert with lockdowns ending, but we also need to ensure our opening is approved with our governing body, The Firearms Safety Education Service of Ontario (FSESO), the Chief Firearms Office (CFO), and the individual facilities we teach in.

The good news

We had a strong feeling this was coming, so we’ve been planning ahead this whole time. We have avoided adding new courses to our schedule for months now. This means much of late January, February, and March and beyond remains available for us to open new courses. All we need is to know when precisely we’ll be allowed to re-open and we can start adding to the schedule, meaning there should be room for anyone who had their bookings cancelled to rebook with priority.

What does Priority mean?

We’ve been tracking who was displaced by the lockdowns in December, January, and February and we’ll be sending them a private invitations to rebook once we know our re-opening date. Once we’ve given those people some time to get re-booked, we’ll open the new courses up to the general public to fill the remaining spots.

Needless to say, this is all going to get easier as we beat this pandemic together! We’ll have more certainty about our schedule as time goes on and we’ll be able to offer more courses, and feel safer doing it!

See you soon!

Rest assured we will do what we can to get you through the courses not too long on the other side of lockdown.

We look forward to seeing you as soon as we can. In the meantime, wishing you a Happy Holiday Season and a Safe and Healthy New Year!
